Brother to Alexander Cameron of Glenevis. Prisoners of the '45 identifies Cameron as 2nd Lieutenant in Lord John Drummond's (Royal Scots), but the Muster Roll of Prince Charles Edward Stuart's Army does not include him. For allegedly informing on Dr Archibald Cameron, he was held prisoner on the wish of the Camerons of Lochiel (NA SP 54/43/83 and 85).
