Francis Farquharson

Seems unlikely to be Francis Farquharson of Montalrie, since he is not referred to by title. Charles Gordon, younger of Terpersie was in a different regiment and was held in different prisons than Montaltrie. There is a Francis Farquharson, shipmaster, among Forbes's Leith Congregation (Registers, pp. 44, 46, 47), but there is no reason to think he had anything to do with prisoners at Carlisle.
