Mr Fraser

This is likely Lieutenant Hugh Fraser. Alternatively, he might be Hugh Fraser of Eskadale (if Lieutenant Hugh Fraser is not Eskadale) or another Fraser entirely. According to Anne Leith, he was brought to trial for his leniency with Jacobite prisoners at Inverness, but found innocent of wrongdoing (p. 1303).
