Mentioned by Mrs. Anne Leith in her narrative, vol. 6, pp. 1284-1307. A reference to Psalm 88:12, describing one biblical conception of the afterlife. Possible reference to Lethe, one of the rivers of the underworld of Hades. Lethe was the spirit of forgetfulness.
