Old Lendrick

Uncle to John Mushet and Dr Mushet. Probably John Haldane, second of Lanrick, recorded as a Major in Kilmarnock's and Strathallan's Regiments of Horse, who escaped to France (Muster Roll, pp. 43, 53; Haldane, Haldane of Gleneagles, pp. 24-25). Alternatively, this might be John Stewart, first of Lendrick (1680-1740). Neither of these men is known to have had a sister whose sons were Settlers in Maryland.
