Factor at Benbecula. See Macdonald and Macdonald, Clan Donald, p 280. Either the Ranald MacDonald in who "took no part in the Rising" but was arrested for helping Charles Edward Stuart escape, or the Ranald MacDonad of Clanranald's Regiment identified as the Bailie of Benbecula (pp. 74-75, 76-77).
