Acquainted with the The Men of Glenmoriston. In 1725, it was brought to the attention of the Church of Scotland "'that great encroachments were made by trafficking Priests and Popish Emissaries upon [...] Glenmoriston'" (Mackay, Urquhart and Glenmoriston, pp. 372-73; see also p. 397).
