Hay in Inverness.
P= S: Pray, will you be so good as to
favour me with as exact &and particu-
lar an Account as possible of what
happened in &and about your Place,
as to Hardships &and Cruelties, that can
be well vouched, upon &and after
April 16th, 1746? Baillie Stewart
promised me such a Thing; but that
honest Man seems to have forgot
it. Forget not to mention particu-
larly the harsh Treatment of Provost
Hossack. The more minute &and circum-
stantial you are in any Narrative
still the better. I rely upon your
Compliance, &and that you’ll send
me my Request by some sure pri-
vate Hand that you can trust.
