Kenlochmoydart’s Brothers &and
Stepfather to Bellfinlay

DrDear Sir
I had noeno opportunity
before now to let you know of our
arrival in the CountreyCountry. We had a
most severe journey off it with
most Excessive winds and rains, which
has cast pourpoor Bellfinlay soe low,
that, alas I fear he has not maniemany
dayesdays to pass in this world, oyrwiseotherwise
you might be sure he had Embraced
soe fair an Opportunity of letting
you hear from him, his illness puts
me &and whole family in very great
Confusion for IveI’ve quitquite Despaired
of his recovery,




There is noeno Countreycountry
news, but a prodigious bad Seasone,
And plenty of Red coat pairties, both
very bad Articles, I am

from Neil ^MacDonald MacKechan’s eldest
Brother, ^John MacDonald MacKechan
who &and ^Angus MacDonald of
Milton
(Miss Flora MacDonald’s
full Brother) made me a Visit
They afterwards told me, that
they had got Notice from the
Highlands that Bellfinlay
died on SeptrSeptember 28th. See in this
Vol:Volume p:page 1453.
