AugtAugust 8th, 1763.
“I received your Favours of the 28th
July
, inclosingenclosing one to Mrs Whytt, qchwhich
I forwarded. I received by Yesterday’s
Mail a Letter from that Lady, which
mentions, that She arrived safe among
her Friends, who were All well.
Your Cousin thanks you for the Mar-
malade
, &c.et cetera She, poor Girl, like the
rest of her Sex, &and it is too very na-
tural
, would be glad to see her Friends
after so long an Absence, &and waits, she
says, for a convenient Opportunity, qchwhich
she hopes will cast up, to pay you
a Visit.”

N.B. A pot of Marmalade was ac-
tually
bought in Edina, &and safely de-
livered
to the Said Cousin.
