John Blaw of Castlehill

d. 30 Oct 1767

John Blaw was a key figure in the planning of the Rising, although he was arrested before the Rising began. His son Charles did participate and was imprisoned, but was released. John Blaw was eventually released on bail. In 1767 he was was convicted of the murder of William Cairns, for which he was executed (Prisoners, vol. 2, pp. 38-39).
