I was favoured with a visit of Murdoch MacLeod, Rasay‘s third son,77 who delivered to me a letter from Malcolm MacLeod with some papers enclosed, which papers are in the handwriting of John MacLeod, the young laird of Rasay (Paton vol. 2, 71)
