May 31st, 1750, I R:Robert F:Forbes was sent for to go
to David Watson’s House Vintner on the
Shore of Leith, to see one Mr MacPherson.
When I came, I found Mr MacPherson of
Breaikachie, Younger, (in this Vol:Volume pag:pages
1473 —— 1481) and Donald MacPherson
Cluny’s youngest Brother. After convers-
ing a little, Breackachie delivered to
me a Letter from Mr MacPherson of
Strathmashie, inclosingenclosing a Paper consist-
ing of twelve pages in Folio, which
12 Pages are all in the Hand-writing
of the foresaid Donald MacPherson young-
est Brother to Cluny, as he himself ac-
knowledged to me. Breackachie said,
there were some Things omitted in the said
12 Pages, &and that he would gladly go to
my House, in order to have a private
Hour to go over the 12 Pages with me,
&and to give me the Omissions from his
own Mouth, that I might note them down,
all which was accordingly done.
