Copy of a paragraph from the
RevdReverend Mr John Stewart.X

Inverness, June 4. 1763.
Patrick Grant had not been here since
the Receipt of yours, nor will for two or
three Weeks to come. He only comes
two or three times a-yeara year, according
as his pension is paid termly. When
he comes, shall have a long Chat wtwith
him on what you desire to be inform’dinformed
of. Osian is pretty well spell’dspelled, &and quite
intelligible to all that understand GalicGaelic;
but perhaps it would be more orthographi-
cal
to spell it thus Os’’Ian; but the other
does very well.
