From John Farquharson of Aldlerg,

Dunkerque, March 12. 1768.
I heard
lately from your old friend &and mine
Charles Jamyson. He was very well
then, &and in the same way. His old frdsfriends,
at least his pretended Friends use
him very cruelly. As StSaint Paul says,
God reward ymthem conform to yrtheir merit.
That’s all yethe harm I wish them. How-
ever
he is in good health, &and keeps
up the heart.
