Pray tell my Cou-
sin Adam That I have never been
in Company with Mr Lumsden, &and
at present I dontdon’t know where to
find him, as he &and the other Gen-
tlemen that lived with the Pre-
tender within these few days
past had a fallen out with him,
&and have left his House. Some say,
that he had drank a little too much,
&and wanted to go to an Oratorio,
These Gentlemen his Ministers &and
followers advised him very stre-
nouslystrenuously to stay at Home. He thought
they used too much freedom with
him. They were either dismiss’ddismissed or
resign’dresigned. I hear the Cardinal his
Brother wanted them to go back
again. They said it wou’dwould be to no
purpose. Their places are suppli-
ed by some Italians. I have seen
him several times since in his
Coach accompanied by one Italian
Gentleman.”
