Extract of a Letter from an English
				
Gentleman on his Travels, dated July 21.
“It is not to be described the univer-
sal Joy which prevailed through this
mouldering City, when the News was
brought, that his Britannic Majesty
had tolerated &and countenanced the
Worship of the holy Roman Religion
in Canada. Prayers were immedi-
ately offered in the Churches for
his Majesty, &and a universal Fast &and
Thanksgiving ordered through the
Papal Dominions.
