The Security of our Property was
one Glorious motive ytthat brought about
yethe late happy Revolution. As an in-
stance
how far it has answerdanswered ytthat
end take ysthis for an example. Before
NovrNovember 1688 an estate in this Country
pdpaid to yethe GovntGovernment 3 £ 14 sh:shillings ster:sterling And
the same estate wtoutwithout yethe least aug-
mentation
of rent pays now only yethe
trifling Sum of 600 £ 6 sh:shillings This
I had fmfrom yethe Proprietor &and factor, i,e,
Steward of yethe estate
; who at yethe
same time told me ytthat yrtheir case was
not singular, but ytthat every bodyeverybody was
tax'd taxedin yethe same proportion.
