George Lockhart of Carnwrath EsqrEsquire
at Dryden.

Dear Sir,
I send you the inclosedenclosed
by Mr Cameron who bought it me
himself this morning, I make no
doubt but you will comply with
his request as you have always
shown your self very ready to assist
people oppressed and in disstressdistress
I am
Dear Sir
Your most obedient
humble Servant
Sic subrsubscribitur John Rattray
EdinrEdinburgh tuesday 11 o’ clock forenoon
N:B: The Original of the Above was like-
wise
returned to me from Carnwrath,
&and I gave it to Mrs Rattray, who committed 1656 (1656)
